He's an NPC villain. He exists to be defeated. He doesn't do anything. Sure, he presents challenges, but he exists to collapse. It's inevitable. His entire point is to fall. That's ultimately what he does.

And he has no idea. The awareness doesn't exist. Quite literally, there is no way for him to conceive of his collapse. It's simply his operation.

It's amazing really. To be designed to fall. Because, that doesn't mean he will at any given moment. It is not guaranteed at a particular moment that he falls. But, at every moment he tends towards failure. He converges towards it. He may not fall now, or tomorrow, or the day after, but keep flipping the coin. He must fall.

Of course, this is a consequence of a particular fundamental operation. Of a particular character design. Now, should he come into awareness and design himself a new character...
