Pearls

When I thought of what it'd be nice to crochet for summer, sequins and pearls were among the first that came to mind. Not crocheting sequins and pearls, but crocheting with them in any way you could find.

I recently sat down to do this, and although I came into some difficulty, I'm happy to share my process and the result for future ideas.

Part One

I first sat down with a light-weight bamboo yarn, an assortment of pearl discs, and three hook options to choose from.

The yarn is Silky Soft from Loops & Threads, and I found the 3.75 hook went with it best.

The idea I had in mind was to decide my colour arrangement, then simply crochet in the discs as I went along. I quickly realised the piercing in the discs was far too small for any hook I had. I managed to attach one disc with a pen anyway.
