Intelligence

I avoided conversations about intelligence for a very long time. I didn't like them, I found they made no sense, I found they made people angry, or maybe just "upset", so I avoided them. I found they triggered inferiority complexes, so I avoided them. I found them "useless". It's within this year I decided I will speak when I want to speak and I will say what I think makes sense to say and I cannot be responsible for every sort of complex.

One of the main reasons I found these conversations did not make sense is the competition. I didn't understand the sense of inferiority. Equally, I didn't understand the sense of superiority. I found it as senseless to be "superior" as it was to be "inferior".

Intelligence is not limited. We are not pulling from a finite pool. We are not pulling from a shared pool. It is not a pie you cut into. A bigger slice does not mean less remains. Witness of someone else's intelligence has no bearing on your own. Intellect is not finite.

It seemed very difficult to have a conversation with anyone about intelligence where neither inferiority nor superiority came up, so I avoided it entirely. This is perhaps still a challenge.

Anyway, creativity. I'm here because creativity.
