Fingerless gloves

Fingerless gloves

Striped, fingerless gloves. I had thin stripes in mind, but that’s not exactly what happened with this yarn. I'm okay with that. I like where this is going. In making these gloves, I've also started drafting a few other constructions. So far on this one.

Some more process images. These are from forming the thumbhole and after. On the thumbhole— I can't tell if it feels correct or not. I believe it does and any strangeness is just the result of these being crocheted with a non-stretch stitch and a medium weight yarn. I think gloves, especially crocheted, are best made with a sport weight or lighter for the same reason I typically make fingerless gloves if crocheting — there will be a bit of bulk between any digits or in this case, between the palm and the thumb. But these will soften in the wash anyway.
