Deprive

I have seen a definition for kill that I have never seen before and I find it very interesting. This definition is incredibly precise and it's very important. This definition is very particular.

The first I saw was to deprive a living thing of existence and then I found to deprive of life. Deprive. Not End. Deprive.

I should say, this is mostly notable [to me] because I'm finding these definitions in [presumably] secular texts, texts that [presumably] don't lean one way or another on the concepts of afterlife, pre-death, post-death, pre-life, the other side, etc.
