A Halter for Spring

A Halter for Spring

I started this in the middle of the night, the 22nd. It was during a break from Sonja. I've noticed the brown yarn is far rougher than some other tones. This mauve is exceptionally soft though, not just relative to the brown, but to any fingering cotton from Hobbii I've ever used. I wonder why this particular colour is so drastically different.

I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to continue shaping the cup(s), but I decided on simple increases in the center. I also considered starting over and using a bottom-up construction, but top-down leaves more room to customise and intuitively design as you go.

One cup is complete.

Fingering cotton, 3.00 mm
Chain 101 (including 1 turning chain)
Hdc, 99 dc; 2.75 mm
Chain 2, 5 dc
Dc 2, 3 dc in center, dc 2
Dc 3, 3 dc in center, dc 2
Dc ..., 3 dc in center, dc ... until coverage reached

To be updated as progress is made.
