A Gentle Scarf

I've reached a point in the scarf where it may be nice to wrap up. I've completed 24 rows of this ever-increasing shell stitch and I'm quite happy with the length and width.

For the 24 rows, I've not yet finished the skein of yarn (Lion Brand Feels Like Alpaca) but based on what's left, I reckon a longer scarf that allows a double tie will need a second skein. As I'll likely use this in the spring, I'm okay with the current length and width for this one and the single tie in the back.

For finishing, I decided on simple single crochets around the edge except to level the top; here, I put a half double crochet in every single crochet and continued the single crochets otherwise.
